The Sixth Annual American Samoa Goodill Mission will be held in Pago Pago, American Samoa, June 13– 17, 2013 and once again sponsored by the June Jones Foundation.
The Sixth Annual American Samoa Goodwill Mission is led by Southern Methodist University Head Football Coach June Jones and several former NFL players including Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Reno Mahe, San Francisco 49ers legend Jesse Sapolu (four-time Super Bowl Champion), Denver Broncos Defensive End Ma'a Tanuvasa (two-time Super Bowl Champion), and more.
The Goodwill Mission provides free medical care and supplies, athletic equipment and student fitness programs for the people of American Samoa. In addition, five $2,000 academic college scholarships will be awarded to deserving American Samoan high school seniors.
The Sixth Annual American Samoa Goodwill Mission Medical Team will be led by Dr. Francisco Garcia, Laurie Rivera, Johnny Tapusoa, Marci Tapusoa, Kelli Te'o, and David Te'o.
The June Jones Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for needy families of children with life-threatening illnesses as well as other charitable causes. The emotional, physical, and spiritual impact a seriously ill child has on a family cannot be measured. The June Jones Foundation is dedicated to lifting their spirits by providing grants, programming and support. It has awarded nearly $600,000 in grants and in educational programs since being established in 2004.
